Equipment for a Gliding Safari

Reduced to the minimum

A glider doesn't fit much in it. Nevertheless, somehow I have to bring along everything I need for a week of travelling. And this is not only the night stuff for myself, but also for my DG400.

This equipment list has proved its worth on my journeys:

- Parachute
- 3 ground anchors
- 3 lashing belts for the glider
- Wing covers
- Canopy cloth
- Rescue blanket (for rainproof covering of the cotton canopy cloth)
- 3 belts for the rescue blanket
- 2-stroke oil (1 litre, bottle with 200ml markings)
- Leather cloth and muggle cloth in a zip bag
- 2 rolls of tape (to cover the engine flaps at night to prevent rain)

- Airfield pocket book
- 12V charger for on-board batteries
- Aircraft adapter for on-board battery charger
- USB charger
- USB cable for tablet (my navigation computer)
- USB cable for Nano3
- USB adapter between tablet and Nano3
- Valve extension for tyres
